Christmas shopping made easy with one stop gift card shopping at Kroger

If your Christmas shopping is anything like mine, you often find yourself running around town trying to find that perfect gift for everyone on your list. I hate to admit it but that is why I love it when someone on my list asks me for a gift card instead. The only problem that this presents is the hassle of having to run around town to grab these gift cards from each of the stores. That is why I was so relieved when I found out through Bzzagent that I could go to Kroger for all my gift card needs. I decided to put it to the test when I had to grab a gift card for a senior citizen off the angel tree that my family had chosen. I headed there and looked for the Pet Smart gift card that was requested and I found that it was super easy because they had all the gift cards placed together in one central location. I was able to go right up to the display and find the one I was looking for. Once there I noticed some other stores and I started going through my Christmas list and thinking of who else I could check off my list by going ahead and grabbing a gift card. It was so simple that my children could have done it. I simply grabbed the card I wanted, took it to the clerk and told her the amount I wanted and presto it was done. I then grabbed my receipt and I saw that I had gotten 250 fuel points from the purchase of the gift card and special coupon. I immediately went to the gas pump and filled up my card where I saved 20 cents on my gas. I had two great scores in one day and I looked like the Christmas shopper superhero. I love how easy Kroger made my Christmas shopping. I told all my friends about how easy it was and how I this is definitely my new go to spot for my gift card shopping. So if you have a couple of gift cards on your Christmas gift list, be sure to head to Kroger to grab yours and you will be so happy with the time you save as well as the savings you will get in fuel points.

Great Taste in a Little packet... Ranch flavored Starkist Tuna Creations are great.

Thanks to Crowdtap, I had the opportunity to try new Ranch flavored StarKist Tuna Creation.  As many of you may know, the Starkist Tuna creations are not your ordinary canned tuna, but instead they come in a handy little pouch.  These tuna creations come  in a variety of flavors like Zesty Lemon, Sweet and Spicy, Herb and garlic, and Hickey Smoke.  As you can see Starkist has a flavor for everyone.  When I received my sample I was excited to try the new flavor out since I was a big fan of several of the other flavors. I knew I wanted to try something new with the tuna and being the southern girl I am I decided to make a tuna crochet for breakfast one morning. 

I took some onions, bread crumbs, an egg, a little pepper, shredded cheese and the Ranch tuna packet.  I mixed all the ingredients together and then I placed a little bit of vegetable Oil in the pan. 

I fried the crochets for about 5 minutes on each side until they were a golden brown. These crochets  turned out great. 

I tried the tuna prior to adding it to the mix and i felt that the ranch flavor was very subtle but delicious. Once added to the crochet mix and cooked, I felt that it had a great flavor, which was accented well by the onion, and bread crumbs. My husband does not usually like ranch but he actually thought that the crochets had a great flavor and he said it was a great addition to breakfast. Overall, I think that the new ranch flavor is a great addition to the Starkist Tuna Creation family and I am looking forward to eating it again. Next time I will have to try it on a salad or in another recipe. Truvia Sample and share

My coffee routine is the same every morning and so I can do it while I am still half asleep every morning. This routine includes me adding two Splenda packets, and two tablespoons of Cold stone sweet cream creamer to it. That is my routine everyday, but yesterday I took a walk on the wild side and stirred things up by taking the #sweetswitch and switching out my Splenda with a Truvia sample that I received from Crowdtap.  I must admit that because I have  my coffee routine down to a science, I was a little hesitant to make the switch because like the old saying goes, if it isn't broke, don't fix it, and boy did I love me current coffee routine. I started the day out as normal but when it came to add my trusted Splenda, I instead added the Truvia.  Because I did not know how it would work out, I started out with just one packet instead of my normal two and that ended up being the best decision because I found the one pack to be more than enough.  I found the the Truvia to be much sweeter than Splenda.  The Truvia tasted more like sugar than any other artificial sweetener that I have ever tasted. I liked the fact that there was no nasty after taste.  Truvia passed my test but the question was would it pass the husband test.  So that morning I prepared my husbands coffee as normal, but when it came time to sweeten it I only added about half of the pack, he normally uses one Splenda.  When he came to breakfast that morning he asked if I had added sugar to his coffee because it tasted different this morning. I asked him was was wrong and he said nothing, it just had a sweeter taste than normal.  I then told him that I no sugar had been offered but I did change out his Splenda for half a pack of Truvia.  He was impressed with the fact that there was no weird aftertaste.  Overall, I felt that Truvia was a great replacement for sugar and tasted pretty close to the real thing, without the nasty aftertaste.  Because of this natural taste, you do not have to use as much as you do with other sweeteners.   I think that if you are someone who loves sugar but you hate the calories that come from using it, Truvia is the product for you.

New Skin Liquid Bandage Review

Recently I received the Good Life VoxBox and inside was a product called New-Skin Bandage.  This product retails at $7.29 a bottle and can be purchased at local pharmacy stores.  This product was designed to cover, and protect cuts and scratches. The New-Skin Bandage once applied, dries quickly and provides a flexible and waterproof covering that allows your cuts, blisters and scrapes to heal properly.  The New skin Bandage is perfect for someone who is active and can not be slowed down by scrapes and cuts.  The great thing about the New-Skin Bandage is that it also helps to keep out dirt and germs while it heals.  

I decided to put the New-Skin Bandage to the test and I was initially impressed with the results. I applied the New- Skin bandage and it did a great job of providing a great protective covering over my wound. I found that the covering held up pretty well, even after I exposed it to water.  The only issue that I had with the New-Skin bandage was the smell. I found the smell of the product to be somewhat overwhelming and after a while it was unbearable and I attempted to wash the covering off in an effort to get rid of the smell. Overall, I felt the product did a great job at covering the wound, but in the end the smell was just to strong for me. Even though the New Skin bandage does well, I personally would not use the product again due to the strong smell. If you are active and need a good protective bandage, I would recommend New-Skin, but I will warn you that if you tend to be sensitive to strong smells, this product is not for you.

Nonni's Thinaddictives Review

In my lastest Good Life VoxBox I got a great new product called Nonni's THINaddictives and just as the name implies, these thin cookies can become a little addictive. These thin cookies come individually wrapped and they are only 100 calories per 3 ct pack.  Currently THINaddictives come in three flavors, Cranberry, Pistachio, and chocolate.   Each of these cookies are made with real fruit and they are loaded with Almonds or Pistachios.  Thinaddictives are a perfect snack for the person who is on the go but still wants a satisfying snack without the calories and guilt of some other snacks.  I must admit that I was a little leery of trying it because it was made with cranberries and almonds which are two things that I am not fond of together.  In an effort to be more adventurous with my snacking, I decided to give it a try and boy was I surprised to find that I actually liked it. The actual cookie portion of this treat reminded me of a thin ginger snap cookie.  It had just the right amount of sweetness which was great paired with the slight tartness of the cranberries. I found the cranberries to be a pleasant and welcomed surprise because it added a touch of chewiness.  As I mentioned before I usually do not eat sweets with nuts in them but I felt the almond slivers added a nice little crunch to the bars and I barely noticed them there.  Overall, I really enjoyed the THINaddictives and I would definitely purchase them again for me go to snack.  So if you are looking for a great low calorie snack look no further THINaddictives is the snack for you.  If cranberries and Almonds are not your thing, Nonni has other great products that you can try that may be a better fit. Zone Perfect Greek Yogurt Bar review

As many of you may know, I have been trying to lose weight for my sisters upcoming wedding in November.  To help me with my efforts, I have started working out more and I am trying to change my eating habits.  One of my biggest problems is snacking, so I was excited to try out the Zone Perfect Greek Yogurt Berry Bar when it came in my Good Life VoxBox.  The newest addition to the Zone Perfect brand is their new Greek Yogurt line which combines the smooth, creamy richness of Greek yogurt with protein to keep you going. Aside from the Vanilla Cranberry flavor, this bar also comes in Chocolate and Raspberry.   Now I will tell you that I do not usually like many of the bars because they have a chalky after taste but I must admit that this bar had a much better taste than some of the other bars I have tried in the past. I liked the creamy taste of the Greek yogurt paired with the sweetness of the Cranberries.  I found the flavor to be one that I could actually eat from time to time.  Even though I am not one to eat protein bars, this is one that I could keep on hand for an after workout snack.  To make it even better snack option, this bar packs 12 grams of protein and 3 grams of fiber.   So whats the final verdict on the Zone Perfect Greek Yogurt bar? Well I think that it is one of the best tasting protein bars on the market and it is definitely work trying. Dial Body Wash... I love this stuff

Up until a couple of months ago, I had never tried Dial Body wash, so when I received information from Purex Insiders about their Dial 65th Anniversary Promotion, I thought it would be a great time to try it out. When I went to the store to purchase a bottle, I found so many great scents to choose from. There is definitely a scent for everyone.  I sometimes have issues with body washes drying out my skin, so I decide to start out by trying a Skin Therapy scent which would help prevent this by replenishing the moisture. I chose Himalayan Pink Salt and I absolutely loved the scent of this particular wash and I loved how the soap lathered so well. I found that the scent was one that stayed with you even after you left the shower.  Another great thing about this body wash is that it is pretty affordable. I recently found them on sale at Publix for buy one get one free so I paid $3.29 for two bottles which is great.  Overall, I think that this is a great buy for a great body wash. If you have not tried it, there is still a day or so for you to enter the Dial 65th Anniversary Promotion for a chance to win a years supply of body wash or even better 65 thousand in Gold.
